My name is Tim Davey. I am a native New Zealander, but I now reside in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which is also the home for GMT's corporate headquarters. For the past 5 years we have been building a very specialized travel agency. With the ever changing travel environment, increased fuel costs and conditions beyond our control, everyday travel decisions are getting harder and harder to make.

I make it my responsibility and duty to work with our suppliers, monitor the world economic and political climate, and fight for issues that affect common sense travel in order to protect GMT’s clients and employees.

With this in mind, we have decided to dedicate our focus on people who travel within the maritime industry. By concentrating on one segment of the travel community, we are better equipped to manage your travel needs, and most importantly negotiate better airfares for our niche traveler. 

At GMT, we work with the airlines to negotiate low one-way fares with favorable terms and conditions to assist our maritime clients move around the globe economically. Our client profiles include people in the private yacht community, cruise line passengers and crew, and concession companies who supply staff to cruise lines and cargo/tanker liners. It is my team’s responsibility to ensure we meet all your travel requests efficiently and provide you with the lowest contracted fare available.

I’m very proud of our staff at GMT (see group photo below).  We work in a fun and healthy environment that promotes teamwork and efficiencies. There is no doubt that the good relationships we have with our clients is a major reason for our success today.
