Global Entry – “Trusted Traveler Network”

Dubai based Emirates Airline has announced that they will now permit passengers onboard their A380 aircraft to use their mobile phones during flight.

The service works in conjunction with Emirate’s tie-up with OnAir, their onboard wi-fi provider.  One caveat however is that due to American Federal Aviation Administration rules, the service is disallowed over United States territory.  Therefore, the service shuts down within 250 miles of the US.
