Renaud began his travel industry adventure over four and a half decades ago when he joined Trans World Airlines/TWA in New York City as a reservations agent. During his 12 years at TWA, he also worked as a Senior Training Instructor and then a flight attendant before finding his niche in Atlantic Pricing. Looking for an opportunity to own a home, Renaud moved to Minnesota where he was employed by Northwest Airlines/NWA at their corporate headquarters in Eagan, MN; he spent the next 11 years in various roles within Pacific Pricing and Industry Affairs.
Being afforded the opportunity to move from the airline side of the industry to the travel agency world, Renaud accepted a position with the online start-up StudentUniverse, located in Boston, MA. He spent his entire 18 years at StudentUniverse working in the Airline Product division where he advanced to the position of Vice President, Global Airline Product. Renaud next took his skills working for a specialty online start-up to ScholarTrip in Plano, TX, working in the role of Vice President, Product Development & Supplier Relations, taking the newly found organization from concept to profitability in two short years.
After a short three-month hiatus from the travel business, during which there was contemplation of retirement, Renaud re-entered the industry when joining GMT as Manager Air Sea in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He manages a team of 13 located across the US, CA & PH that focuses on delivering superior customer service and support to cruise lines, cruise consortia, agencies and
guests.
