Cruise Line Partnerships

Global Marine Travel is proud to assist cruise lines with affordable flights for their passengers and crew members. GMT is one of the few agencies that have full access to the specially negotiated net-fare airline contracts for both passengers and crew members.

Passenger Air/Sea Travel

In addition to marine contracts, GMT maintains a full portfolio of specially negotiated Air/Sea (Cruise) contracts, providing coverage to/from North America to virtually every cruise port in the World. GMT currently acts as the in-house agency for a number of cruise lines who outsource their Air/Sea program either in whole or in part.

Cruise-only Travel Agencies

GMT offers partnership opportunities to cruise-only travel agencies, allowing them to improve service to their clients while increasing revenues. Special air/sea contract fares have been developed by the airlines to assist cruise line passengers flying to and from the ship. Many cruise ships with international itineraries require that passengers fly into one port to board the ship, and fly home from another city at the end of the cruise. Flying under this scenario would be very expensive under normal circumstances, but air/sea contract fares are designed to help cruise passengers travel in an economical way, with special privileges associated.

As a cruise-only agency, you have the choice to purchase air from a cruise line or you can build your own package to and from the cruise, including hotels, car reservations and more. Now you can bundle airfare provided by GMT with the use of air/sea contracts. Once the flights are requested, GMT will release the air booking details to you and your clients right away. There is no need to wait until just before the cruise departs to get the flight details.

GMT has created a unique online portal for the cruise-only agency community. If you are a travel agency or cruise seller with a valid ARC or CLIA membership, we invite you to sign up for our online air/sea booking product, Cruiselink. Cruiselink is a web-based search engine that allows travel agencies to shop and confirm published consolidator, and air/sea air schedules for their clients from availability. The platform is easy to use and registration is free.

In addition to Cruiselink, our air/sea department is open Monday – Friday from 09:00 am – 6:00 pm for new bookings. As with all flight reservations booked through GMT, our staff is available 24/7 for our customers should emergencies arise while they are traveling. Travelers who are using an Air/Sea fare must have a cruise as part of their travel itinerary and must be able to produce valid cruise documents to the airline during check-in.
