How to Use Filters to Find Flights Easily with Fly2C

16th December 2021

Starting from Monday, December 20th, 2021, we will have new filters on our Fly2C search result page. You can find the filters on the left side of the screen, next to where it says “Crew overview.”

When you click it, all the filters will appear.

Be mindful that, on the left, you’re going to find the filters, and on top of the search results, you will find the sorting options.

Fly2C Filters

So, what’s the difference?

Sorting

On top, you can see different options. These options will change the order in which flights appear on your search results.

For example, maybe you want to see the fastest routes first. So then you click where it says “Fastest,” and you’ll see the flights ordered by the duration of the trip, starting with the shortest.

In the sorting options, you will have:

Cheapest

Your results will be sorted from the cheapest to the most expensive.

Cheapest refundable

Your results will be sorted from the cheapest ticket that is refundable to the most expensive.

Fastest

Your results will be sorted from the fastest route to the longest

Other options

Here you can choose to sort your flights between the earliest and latest arrival time or departure time.

Filters

Filters have different functionality. They help you narrow down your search results by removing undesired flight options from the screen until it shows you only the options that match your requirements.

In the filter tab, you can find different sections. Here’s what each of them does:

Travel policy

If your company uses the travel policy feature, you can turn on the “Only show “in-policy” flights.” This way, you will only see the flights that don’t require approval, so they’ll be booked right after you click the “Book” button.

Refundable flights

Filter to see only “Fully refundable” or “Paid refund” flights.

Previously, you could also filter to see only Marine or Public flights. This option is not there anymore. When using the “fully refundable” filter, you get both Marine and Public tickets that are fully refundable, which means you get even more refundable options than when checking only marine fares. When using the “fully refundable” filter you’ll still see the fare type when picking a ticket – Marine or Public.

Baggage

Find the flights with the luggage you require. Any baggage, at least 1 bag or 20+ kg or at least 2 bags or 30+ kg.

Stops

You can select how many stops you’d like in the itinerary, or if you want to allow a change of airports, overnight stopovers, or double Schengen.

Now you can set the stopover time in connection. You can specify the maximum time in transit, e.g. you don’t want it to be more than a certain number of hours. Or otherwise, you can specify the minimum hours in connection to allow more time for your traveller to change flights.

On the “Max. stopover time” bar, you will also see in which range the “cheapest” option is.

⛔️Avoid double Schengen: Previously, you were able to tick a box if you wanted to avoid double Schengen. This option is now called “Allow double Schengen,” and you’ll find it in this section. It will always be checked, so you just have to uncheck the box if you want to avoid double Schengen.

Times

You can filter by the duration of the trip, the departure time, and the arrival time. You can uncheck the box if you don’t want to allow “next day arrival.”

Price

Filter the flights by the amount you want to pay. Just move the bar to your convenience. You can see in which price range is the “fastest” flight.

Class

Filter by Economy, Economy Premium, or Business.

Must include

Add the airlines, airline alliance, flight number, airports, or countries you want to be included in your search. This is useful if you’re only interested in booking with a specific airline.

Must avoid

Add the airlines, airline alliance, flight number, airports, or countries you don’t want to see in your search. For example, you can use it to avoid low-cost airlines by typing the name of the airline.

⛔️Avoid US airports: Previously, you could tick a box if you wanted to avoid US airports. This checkbox is not in the filters anymore, but you can avoid US airports by typing “United States” in the “Must avoid” box; this will have the same result.

Separate tickets

Turn on the “Show separate tickets” option. You can combine separate tickets to get better and cheaper options. You can also choose the airport for the connection. Learn more about separate tickets in this article.

“Separate tickets” were previously called “Split tickets.”

Once you have chosen your preferences, you can continue to book. If you want to see the results of the other routes, just click on “Crew overview” next to the filters tab.

In the “Crew overview,” you’ll be able to see the filters that you have selected for that route.

When you select another destination, it will ask you if you want to keep the same filters or if you want to select new ones for the new destination.

If you select to keep the same filters, you can always change them if they don’t suit your needs.

If you want to remove all the filters you applied, only hit “Clear filters” next to “0 active filters.”

⚠️IMPORTANT: It can happen that when you apply too many filters at once, you find fewer flight options. If you can’t find a flight, try removing some filters.
