Riding Out The Storm At The Spin-a-thon
1st May 2018
They say that “without the rain there would be no rainbow.” On Friday, April 27th 2018, riders, sponsors and donors showed their tenacity and smiling faces regardless of the torrential rains after just two hours into the Marine Industry Cares Foundation’s 9th annual Spin-a-thon.
With the added threat of Tornado Warnings, MICF opted for safety over valor and called it off, except for one brave soul, Captain Lee from Bravo’s hit TV show Below Deck, who kept going regardless of the inclement weather showing everyone he’s no stranger to Poseidon’s wrath.
Currently, fundraisers have collectively raised over $42,000 – benefiting MICF charity partners Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center, LifeNet 4 Families, FLIPANY and American Lung Association. ISS GMT is proud to make a difference with these local charities.
The show must go on!
There is still time to help MICF reach their $50,000 goal this year by donating to our Frequent Flyers team page. We thank you for your generosity and support.
