1.1          We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you.

1.2          We will only use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party, other than as necessary to fulfil your request. We may share information with companies within our group and such sharing and/or transfer will comply with GDPR.

1.3          We may contact you via email in the future to tell you about changes to this privacy policy.

1.4          We will not contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services unless you ask us to or opt-in.

3.3          While we use encryption to protect sensitive information, including personal data, transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

5               This Statement

5.1          This Fair Processing and Privacy statement (Known as the “Statement”) is written in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“EU GDPR”) and any EU Member State national implementing legislation and the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR” and together with EU GDPR, the “GDPR”) . “Personal Data” or “personal data” has the meaning given to it in the GDPR.

5.2          The statement establishes how GMT uses the information we collect about all users and customers (known as “you”) for the travel management services we provide (known as the “service”). Please read them carefully before using the service. By using or accessing this service, you acknowledge your acceptance of this statement. Without such an acknowledgement, you may not use this service.

5.3          Accessing or using the service confirms your agreement to be legally bound by the statement and acknowledge that Global Marine Travel (“GMT”) is the owner and operator of this service. GMT reserves the right to amend or vary this statement and any of the contents of this Service from time to time in its sole discretion. Amendments or variations will take effect when posted on this service. This statement, as amended or varied from time to time, applies to all your interactions with the Service both now and in the future.

5.4          In order for GMT to fulfil legal, contractual, and business responsibilities, it will collect, hold and process certain pieces of information. Where this information is considered ‘personal data’, that is information that identifies you such as your name and address, then we will comply with the relevant legal and regulatory that apply to personal data such as GDPR.

5.5          Where this involves sensitive personal data, and special categories of personal data under GDPR, such as the state of your health, then there will be additional requirements imposed.

5.6          GMT is committed to protecting your privacy. This statement explains how we use the information we collect about you, how you can instruct us about the use of that information and procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy.

5.7          We use the information we collect about you to help efficiently administer the service. We take privacy seriously and endeavor to be as open as possible in terms of how your information is used.

6               What we need

6.1          GMT will be considered the “Data Controller” of the personal data you provide to us. GMT’s registered address is;

6.2          We may collect and process information that you provide by submitting this (In soft or hard copy) to our operations teams globally.

6.3          This information may include but is not limited to your Name, Passport Information, Email Contact, Address, Airline/Car/Hotel Loyalty Membership Schemes.

6.4          We treat all such data as personal data for the purposes of GDPR and when this applies to you as well as other and applicable data protection legislation. Please note that there may be limitations on these rights, depending on the specific circumstances concerning your data and the applicable law.

6.5          If you visit other GMT websites, further information may be collected, and these will have their own additional Statements which shall apply to the collected information.

7               Why we need it

7.1          We need the details of named individuals [and the information set out in paragraph 6.3 for the purpose of booking travel arrangements.

7.2          We may use information about you in the following ways:

  • For creation of the PNR (Passenger Name Record on our reservations systems)
  • For securing Air, Hotel or Car inventory.
  • For creation of traveller profile on our systems for repeat booking.

7.3          We may give your personal data to third parties where:

  • This is legally required for visa and immigration purposes such as APIS (Advance Passenger Information Service)
  • There is a need to create a record on third party hosted reservation systems.

We will not sell or pass your personal data to a third party for the purposes of direct marketing.

8               What we do with it

8.1          All personal data is processed by GMT staff for the purposes above and is located on information technology systems owned and operated by GMT, or that of verified third parties. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers.

8.2          Non-GMT employed third parties do not have access to your personal data unless the law or a contractual agreement allows them to do so.

8.3          GMT staff, our agents, and sub-contractors will use your data to communicate with you on any matter relating to the provision of the services. We also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to the service. If we have obtained your consent, we may communicate with you on new GMT services.

8.4          In the event that our business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers’ advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business.

8.5          GMT does not provide your personal information (including personal data) to others. GMT may provide aggregate statistics about our customers; sales, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third parties, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. Please note however, that, where permitted under GDPR, GMT may be required to disclose your personal information (including personal data) to third parties because of a court order or pursuant to a statutory or governmental order or decree or to comply with any search warrant or similar presented to GMT by any to law enforcement or government officer.

8.6          We have put in place appropriate technical and organisational measures in line with GDPR to protect the collection and processing of your personal data however the transmission of information via the internet or email is not completely secure and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal data transmitted over the internet to our site or by email.

8.7          Once we have received your information, we will use all necessary procedures and security measures to try to prevent unauthorized access, loss, disclosure, or amendment. All personal data collected is subjected to an Information Security and Data Protection regime which is in place to oversee the effective and secure processing and storage of your personal data.

9               How long we keep personal data

9.1          We will retain your personal data on our systems for as long as is necessary (i.e. providing the service to you) or as required under applicable laws.

9.2          Your information which we use for general correspondence, updates on alternative services and marketing purposes (if consented to by you) will be retained until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information or we deem it no longer necessary to continue to hold, whichever is sooner.

10               Your consent

10.1          By submitting your information as per the relevant process, you consent to the collection and use of that information by GMT as set out in this Statement. If we decide to change our Statement, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it. We will also e-mail you should we make any changes so that you may consent to our use of your information in that way. Continued use of the service will signify that you agree to any such changes.

11               What are your rights?

11.1          GMT will respond to requests made by data subjects, being individuals who are the subject of personal data processed by GMT (“Data Subjects”), to exercise legal rights in relation to personal data that GMT holds about them covered by GDPR. 11.2          You have the right to see what data we hold about you.

This includes a description of the data processed, the purposes of processing, and any recipients to whom we have disclosed the data.

To exercise this right, you must make a subject access request in writing, stating the information you require. For further instructions on making such a request please contact info@flygmt.com.

11.3          We may contact you to verify your identity or to clarify the precise information you require before processing your request and will answer your request within 30 calendar days.

You have the right to ask us to restrict processing of your personal data.

11.4          Please note we will not pass your information to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

11.5          You have the right to correct your personal data at any time.

If at any point you believe that the information that we process on you is incorrect, you can request to see this information and have it corrected / deleted. Please note GMT may need to verify the accuracy of any new data provided.

11.6          You have the right to object to processing on the basis that it impacts on your rights and freedoms, including to prevent any unwarranted processing likely to cause damage or distress.

If you feel that this situation has arisen or may arise, please contact us. Please note that in some cases, GMT may have another lawful ground it can rely on to continue processing your personal data.

11.7          You have the right to receive a copy of personal data in a machine-readable format or request the transfer of personal data to another party; and

11.8          You have the right to not be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling, which has a legal or other significant effect on that Data Subject.

11.9          For other jurisdictions, GMT will respond to data subject requests and apply the appropriate requirements under the data protection and/or privacy laws applicable to that data subject or request.

12               Transfers of personal data outside the UK/European Economic Area

12.1          Because the Internet is global, as is GMT’s business, the information you provide may be transferred to countries outside the UK, EU/European Economic Area or another jurisdiction in which personal data is collected (the “Original Jurisdiction”) that do not have similar data protection legislation during use, as set out in this Statement. However, GMT will take steps to prevent the transfer of personal data without adequate safeguards being put in place to afford the same level of protection as it would be in the UK, EEA or the original jurisdiction. By submitting your information to us, you consent to these transfers.
