I would like to set up an account, does GMT allow flexible payment terms such as credit card or direct bill?
GMT accepts most credit cards provided the account holder is able to provide proof of ownership. A direct bill is available depending upon the size of the account and once a credit approval process has been completed.
Does GMT have the ability to invoice in multiple currencies?
Yes. Most currencies are accepted.
Does GMT provide customized reporting?
We offer a myriad of standardized reports. However, we recognize that the needs of our customers vary widely. Therefore, we will offer most customized reporting free of charge. Specialized custom reports may require additional development, which will be charged to our customers at cost.
Does GMT offer dedicated account managers?
Yes. Each account is provided with a dedicated account manager who will conduct quarterly reviews. Additionally, the account manager is available as a second-tier point of contact should non-routine matters escalate and require an additional level of support.
Is there an afterhours support hotline?
No. GMT operates 24/7/365. “We’re Always Open” has been our company tagline since our inception. You may reach out to us through our customer contact center at any time without concern and you will not incur any additional fees for “after hours” assistance.
Is GMT fully licensed and insured?
Yes. GMT is a fully licensed and insured member of IATA, with global ticketing capabilities.
Does GMT offer hotel and car reservations in addition to flights?
Certainly. GMT is a full-service travel agency which means booking hotels, car rentals and other transfer services on request are possible on the same flight itinerary.
I am not in the maritime industry, can I still fly with GMT?
Of course. GMT offers a full portfolio of airfares including Marine/Seaman, Air-sea, consolidator, published, corporate, and published fares.
I am in the maritime industry, can I still book personal travel through GMT?
Yes. We expect that our customers have personal travel needs, and we would never expect them to have to engage with another outside agency to assist them in their personal travel. However, GMT is primarily a marine/corporate agency and we do not represent ourselves as experts in leisure vacation packages such as cruises or tours.
I need to change or cancel my flight reservations, is my ticket refundable and changeable?
This varies depending upon the type of tickets purchased. During the consultation process through to ticketing, all types of fares with the relevant change/cancellation fees may be quoted. Should a client choose a booking with cancellation or change fees, GMT must pass on these fees to the client. However, GMT will never charge a cancellation fee or change fee in addition to the airline imposed fees.
Can I still collect frequent flyer mileage through GMT?
Most bookings regardless of the type of fare will accrue frequent flier mileage. However, the airlines do apply mileage in accordance with fare types whether published or on a contracted fare.
How far in advance can I book travel?
Most airlines only publish fares and schedules 11 months prior to the flight. Many fares do require a purchase commitment within a certain number of days from booking regardless of the date of travel.
Does GMT offer premium economy, business and first class fares?
Yes. GMT has the ability to reserve your seat in all booking classes.
